What does this test include?
This blood package contains a 25-parameter CBC, ESR, APTT, D-dimer, fibrinogen, glucose, creatinine, AST, ALT, GGT, LDH, ferritin, CRP, iron, sodium, potassium and quantitative SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibodies.
Why might it be ordered?
- When persistent or new symptoms after COVID-19 are being assessed by a clinician.
- To review selected blood, clotting, kidney, liver, inflammatory, iron and electrolyte markers after illness.
What sample is needed?
The panel may require one or more samples. The laboratory will confirm the material needed for every included test.
How should you prepare?
Ask whether fasting is required. Seek urgent care for acute chest pain, severe breathlessness, fainting or signs of a blood clot instead of waiting for this panel.
How are the results reported?
SARS-CoV-2 IgG reflects an antibody response but does not by itself prove current infection, protection or the cause of ongoing symptoms. Other abnormal markers are also nonspecific.
