What does this test include?
This package contains a 25-parameter CBC, ESR, urinalysis with sediment, glucose, anti-HIV-1/2, syphilis serology, HBsAg, and ABO blood group with Rh type. It covers selected routine blood, urine and infection-screening checks used during pregnancy care.
Why might it be ordered?
- As part of antenatal care when ordered by the maternity clinician.
- To identify anaemia, urine abnormalities, selected infections and blood-group information relevant to pregnancy.
What sample is needed?
A blood sample and a fresh urine sample are required. Ask the maternity team when in pregnancy the package should be collected.
